Board Composition

National Church Council (NCC) elects the Directors of ELCIC Group Services Inc.

The Board consists of eight individuals, two of which are ELCIC Pension Plan members:  one Rostered and one non-Rostered.

ELCIC National Convention elects and recommends three individuals for consideration to NCC.  These three individuals include the two ELCIC Pension Plan members plus one other person.  The Convention alternates the election of these three individuals between conventions in order to stagger the terms.

Directors are eligible to serve two consecutive 4-year terms.

The Board meets in Winnipeg, usually twice a year (March and October). Committees are appointed by the Board of Directors from among their numbers. The Board may also appoint non-Board members to certain committees.
