Accounts Payable & Office Assistant

ELCIC Group Services Inc. (“GSI”) administers pension and benefits plans that enhance the well-being of employees who serve in the ELCIC and its affiliates.

GSI is seeking an Accounts Payable & Office Assistant, working one day per week.

Reporting to the Executive Director, typical duties include:

  • review invoices, match to contract or approved order and code for accounting ledger,
  • follow up on discrepancies and ensure deadlines are met,
  • issue cheques for signing or set up for on-line payments,
  • filing and archiving,
  • assisting with mailings,
  • administrative assistance to the Executive Director, and
  • meeting arrangements.

Candidates should demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • proficiency in Microsoft Office applications,
  • experience with accounting software and data entry,
  • strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills,
  • high degree of accuracy, with attention to detail.
